IJPP Commendation for Excellence in Peer Review

IJPP commendation for excellence in peer review

The Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology (IJPP) is pleased to launch the ‘Commendation for Excellence in Peer Review’, a special recognition program to honour the invaluable services rendered by our reviewers. As the backbone of the peer review process, reviewers play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, credibility, and academic integrity of published work.

The commendation shall be conferred upon the top three reviewers from each of the Physiology and Pharmacology sections (three commendations per section). The evaluation period will encompass one year preceding the APPICON, comprising four journal issues: October–December (of the preceding year), January–March, April–June, and July–September (of the award year). The Editorial Board shall determine the recipients of the commendation for excellence in peer review based on objective criteria, which include: the number of articles reviewed, the proportion of assigned articles that were reviewed, the timeliness of submission of reviews, and the overall quality of the reviews. Each commendation shall be accompanied by a travel grant, subject to a ceiling of ₹20,000 per recipient, towards reimbursement of expenses incurred for attending APPICON in person.
